Financial services firm Religare Enterprises today reported manifold jump in net profit to Rs 63.32 crore for the quarter ended September 30, on the back of higher income.
The company had reported consolidated net profit of Rs 11 crore in the year—ago period, Religare Enterprises said in a BSE filing.
The total income of the company surged by 19.69 per cent to Rs 1,154.19 crore during the second quarter of the current fiscal, 2015—16. It had reported total consolidated income of Rs 964.28 crore during the July—September quarter of 2014—15.
On standalone basis, the company’s net loss narrowed to Rs 13.9 crore during the quarter under review, from Rs 75.67 crore reported in the second quarter of the last fiscal.
Total income on standalone basis increased to Rs 19.23 crore during the quarter, from Rs 12.19 crore in the year—ago period.
Religare stock gained 2.66 per cent to close at Rs 296.95 apiece on the BSE.
