The board of directors of Nahar Spinning Mills has approved a proposal for putting up a new spinning plant with 60,480 spindles at Tamot, Tehsil Goharganj, Raisen in Madhya Pradesh. The stock climbed 3.3 per cent at ₹121.4 on the BSE.
Chennai Petroleum Corporation has informed the exchanges that operations at its crude distillation unit - II and the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit of the Manali refinery of the company resumed on December 22 and December 23, respectively. The company had shut down the Manali refinery on December 2 and the Cauvery basin refinery at Nagapattinam on December 6. Except these units, operations at the other units of the company had resumed in mid-December. Shares of CPCL edged down 0.55 per cent at ₹206.8 on the NSE.
Speciality Restaurants has informed the exchanges that operations at its Chennai restaurants have resumed. “We are in the process of ascertaining the actual damage caused and the impact on operations,” the company said in a notification to the exchanges. Earlier on December 4, the company had informed the exchanges of disruption in its Chennai operations due to floods. The stock of Speciality Restaurants gained 0.7 per cent at ₹139.35 on the NSE.
