SH Kelkar and Co’s board has approved acquisition of the flavours division of Gujarat Flavours Pvt Ltd on a slump sale basis for a net aggregate consideration of ₹14.5 crore. In a notification to the exchanges on Tuesday, the company said it will buy the division through its subsidiary Keva Flavours Pvt Ltd. The company will acquire the flavours division along with its brands Three Birds and Wheel. The company plans to complete the acquisition by December-end. Shares of SH Kelkar and Co closed at ₹336.75, a gain of 3.4 per cent on the NSE.

TD Power Systems has won an order for supply of 45 railway application generators from a major multi-national corporation for installation in North America. The company said the supplies under the order would be completed between January and April 2017. The overseas order is an outcome of the successful trial run of five generators supplied earlier in February 2016 to the customer, TD Power Systems said. The company expects volumes from this business to grow in the forthcoming financial years. After hitting a high of ₹225 intraday on the NSE, the stock finally settled at ₹199.75, a gain of 2 per cent over the previous day’s close.
