The board of directors of Pioneer Embroideries on Tuesday approved the allotment of 30 lakh equity shares to its promoters. While 15 lakh shares were allotted to Anand Sekhani, another 15 lakh went to Amit Sekhani. The company, however, did not specify the price at which the shares were allotted. The stock of Pioneer Embroideries gained 3.84 per cent at ₹67.5 on the NSE.

Shilpa Medicare has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for its generic of Celgene Corp’s Vidaza injection, according to information on the US drug regulator’s website. The approval is for generic azacitidine injection in 100 mg strength. Vidaza, or generic azacitidine injection, is used to treat bone marrow disorders termed myelodysplastic syndrome. It is also used in chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer. Apart from Shilpa Medicare, only Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Mylan currently have approvals to market generics of Vidaza in the US. Shares of Shilpa Medicare were up 0.58 per cent at ₹603.85 on the NSE.

The board of Bombay Dyeing & Mfg Company has approved the sale of the company’s vacant freehold land measuring 49 acres situated at Ranjangaon, Pune, Maharashtra, at an aggregate value of around ₹19.20 crore net of expenses. The stock of Bombay Dyeing closed at ₹54.7, up 2.4 per cent over the previous day’s close.
