Bedmutha Industries has informed the exchanges that the management has decided to stop production at Plant I of the company, at Sinnar, Nashik, keeping in view workers’ safety. After a detailed inspection of the plant, it was observed that it was too risky to work under the shed of Plant I. The management has started production facilities at the Nardana Plant and shifted the workload of Plant I to the newly-established plant at Nardana, Dhule, which is well-positioned to handle the excess workload. Plant III and IV, small units on 1,000 sq mt plot area, have also discontinued production as it is more advantageous to discontinue production at these locations. This will help the company to reduce fixed costs and improve the bottom line, the company said in a notice to the exchanges. Shares of Bedmutha gained 1.93 per cent at ₹39.70 on the NSE.

National Fertilizers on Thursday informed the exchanges that NFL has achieved record sale of fertilisers — close to one million tonnes — in the first quarter of the current financial year 2017-18. This is a growth of more than 30 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year, the company said in the statement. Shares of National Fertilizers jumped 7.2 per cent at ₹78.05 on the NSE.

RPP Infra Projects has bagged an order from Tamilnadu State Agriculture Marketing Board (TNSAM) for establishment a primary processing centre for supply chain management at Pochampalli, Krishnagiri. The order is worth ₹19.1 crore and has to be completed within 12 months. Shares of RPP Infra closed with a gain of 1.02 per cent at ₹247 on the NSE.
