The board of IG Petrochemicals on Friday approved the expansion of the phthalic anhydride plant with a capacity of 53,000 tonnes per annum at MIDC, Taloja in Raigad district, Maharashtra. The board also approved the company’s plans to foray into downstream products. The stock of IG Petrochemicals crashed 7.26 per cent at ₹602.30 on the NSE.
