Vedanta ended on a firm note to emerge the top gainer on the NSE on Thursday. The share finished the session up 2.37 per cent at Rs 92.9 against Rs 90.75 at close on Wednesday.
UltraTech Cement firmed up 2.33 per cent to quote at Rs 2,817.65 against Rs 2,753.5 at close yesterday.
Adani Ports spurted 1.97 per cent at Rs 320.75 against Rs 314.55 at close overnight.
Tata Steel was firm but off its early highs at Rs 240.80. This was a gain of 1.69 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 236.80.
HCL Technologies advanced 1.35 per cent at Rs 828.20 against Rs 817.20 at close yesterday.
