Rama Steel Tubes , a leading player in the ERW pipe manufacturing space, started commercial production from a south Indian unit. Lepakshi Tubes Private Ltd, its wholly-owned subsidiary, is strategically located about 10 kilometers from Bangalore, (close to the Andhra-Karnataka border). The entire region between the east and west coasts of South lndia falls within the reach of this facility, the company said. As the South lndian market is important for the company, being a fast-growing and high-demand geography, Rama Steel will be able to sell its products in the region more efficiently, the company added. The stock of Rama Steel Tubes closed at ₹219.05, up 3.7 per cent, on the BSE.
