Shares of Reliance Communications fell on report of job cuts.
Reliance Communications stock fell as much as 4.1 per cent in its biggest intraday percentage drop since March 8.
The company has laid off more than 600 roles, a media report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
The job cuts will help the company integrate workforce when it merges with Aircel and MTS, according to company officials.
Reliance Communications declined to comment on the matter, when contacted by Reuters.
RCom had said in September it would combine its wireless business with smaller rival Aircel.
