Snowman Logistics is setting up a new temperature-controlled dry warehousing facility at the Gateway Distriparks Logistics Park at Krishnapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, the company informed stock exchanges on Wednesday. The facility with 3,500-pallet capacity is scheduled to become operational by March 2017 and will cater to pharmaceutical and food industries. The capacity of the new unit can be further scaled up to 10,000 pallets in a phased manner in two years, the statement added. Snowman Logistics, a subsidiary of Gateway Distriparks, currently has a capacity of 98,500 pallets, which will increase to 106,500 pallets once the company completes the Krishnapatnam and Kochi warehouse units. Shares of Snowman Logistics were down 2.7 per cent at ₹73.25 on the NSE.
