Tata Steel has received environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment to increase capacity at itsf Jamshedpur unit’s cold-rolling mill to 0.8 mtpa from 0.3 mtpa. The total cost of the project is ₹126 crore. The unit manufactures flat products, such as hot-rolled skin passed pickled and oiled coils and hot rolled pickled and oiled coils. Given the sharp decline in share prices of Tata Steel, analysts will keenly watch the new development.
