Shares of Unitech rose by nearly 4 per cent today after a Delhi court granted a three-month interim bail to its promoters Ajay Chandra and Sanjay Chandra arrested in a fraud case relating to a Gurugram-based real estate project.
The company’s scrip ended the day at Rs 5.85, up 3.91 per cent on BSE. During the day, it surged 8.17 per cent to Rs 6.09.
At NSE, shares of the company jumped 3.53 per cent to close at Rs 5.85.
The company’s market valuation went up by Rs 57.56 crore to Rs 1,529.56 crore.
On the volume front, 50.30 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 2 crore shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
Additional Sessions Judge Raj Kapoor granted the relief to the Chandras on a personal bond of Rs 70 lakh each and one surety of like amount.
