Canara Bank is planning to promote the bank’s mobile app Empower in a big way.
Canara Bank Officers’ Association (CBOA), an affiliate of All India Bank Officers’ Confederation, is now on a sensitisation campaign about the use of the app.
Volunteers of CBOA, under the banner CANPALs, plan to visit the bank branches after office hours and give hands-on training to the public. CBOA General Secretary GV Manimaran told BusinessLine that the camp christened ‘Technology Empowerment Week’ would be kicked off on a pilot basis from Coimbatore.
The five-day camp will begin on December 5. About 20 branches of the bank in the city have been identified in the first phase.
J Vanangamudi, who was recently elected Chairman of CBOA, is to spearhead the awareness camp by helping customers download the app and make them understand the benefits.
