All India Cooperative Bank Employees' Federation (AICBEF) today announced the postponement of its all India strike call given for November 25 citing the present sensitive situation after the demonetisation.
The cooperative bank employees were miffed with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)'s decision of not allowing District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) to accept demonetised currency notes of 500 and 1000.
The federation had given a strike call on Friday against the RBI's decision. In a statement issued on Saturday, the Federation declared that looking at the sensitive situation in the country after the demonetisation of the currency, "we have decided to postpone the strike call of November 25." However, the federation did not clarify on the postponed date of the strike.
