Karnataka Bank has opened its first-ever digital branch in the country in Bengaluru. This happens to be the 821st branch of the bank. Ramamohan Rao Belle, Director of the bank, inaugurated the branch in the presence of Mahabaleshwara MS, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, on Tuesday.
Quoting Mahabaleshwara, a press release said here that the bank is in the process of powering its banking channels with the use of more and more digital technology with the twin objective of providing better customer experience as well as improving its own operational efficiency at many levels.
“I strongly believe that the digital branch is in tune with the aspirations of our millennial customers and can assure all our stakeholders that the drive towards further digitalisation of our services will continue to be adequately backed by adhering to the best security measures in the industry and by strengthening the fundamentals of the bank,” he said.
