Karnataka Bank has bagged four ASSOCHAM Social Banking Excellence awards under the small bank category.
A press release said here on Saturday that Karnataka Bank won winners awards in ‘Urban Banking’ and ‘Agricultural Banking’ categories, and runners-up in ‘Participation in government schemes and ‘Overall Best Social Bank’ categories.
P Jayarama Bhat, MD & CEO, Karnataka Bank, received the awards from the Union Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha, in Mumbai, on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said Karnataka Bank continues to engage in carrying out various social initiatives directed at making a positive impact on society and business. In line with the vision of the founders, the bank continues to serve the rural sector by engaging itself in the implementation of various government-sponsored schemes aimed at rural and agricultural development, he said.
