Global information technology company Intel made 29 offers to students of IIT Madras on the first day of campus recruitment that began on Thursday.
The campus placement season started on a ‘robust’ note with nearly 25 companies making a total number of 137 offers at the end of the first day in which three sessions were held to enable companies to recruit graduates.
Companies that made more than four offers included Intel, Microsoft, Samsung R&D, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, VISA and ITC, says a press release from IIT Madras.
Manu Santhanam, Advisor, Training & Placement, IIT Madras, in the release said, Day One of placements saw a good turnout of over 25 companies, who made more than 130 offers. Top recruiters such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Intel and Samsung R&D recruited students in large numbers.
“We have several more companies lined up in the next two days of placements, and the scenario is looking good with a number of interesting technical profiles for the students to choose from.”
