An Indian Business Museum created by IIM-Kozhikode was inaugurated by M. M. Pallam Raju, Minister of Human Resource Development, marking an important step in acknowledging the contribution of India’s business leaders in the making of the country.
Housed in IIM-K’s library, the museum was planned with the objective of inspiring aspiring young entrepreneurs in the country. The museum houses memoirs from major business houses such as the Tata Group, Godrej, Reliance, Infosys and RBI.
The museum has huge pictorial displays of Indian history from the pre-Independence era to post-Independence liberalisation. It has placed importance on the constitution of the Indian political and social system, besides adding past and current industry trends in sectors such as retail, textiles, auto and BFSI.
Of the 327 students who will graduate during IIMK’s 15th annual convocation, over 30 per cent will be women.
