Digital identity and transaction management solutions company eMudhra is striving to curb diploma frauds with its flagship paperless office solution product ‘emSigner’.

emSigner can process 5,000 diplomas in 30 minutes. It is offered to universities in two formats — on-premise and on-cloud, a release from the company said. The company has entered the Latin American market.

“We have tied up with Diplogrados Ltd, a leading diploma preparation and printing provider in the region, which prints about 2 lakh-plus diplomas for universities each semester in addition to other documents. Through this tie-up, we will target over 100 universities in Columbia and surrounding countries,” Arvind Srinivasan, Head of Global Markets, eMudhra said.

The company's founder-Chairman V Srinivasan said eMudhra's entry into Latin American market marks a significant milestone towards driving the agenda of digital transformation beyond India.

“We are looking to work with various governments across the globe and educational institutions for issuing e-diplomas, contribute to minimising diploma frauds in the regions outside of Latam, including India. emSigner is the tool to reduce use of paper in office. It has been developed to eliminate paper cost across verticals. It has helped organisations reduce cost up to 80 per cent,” he said.

Arvind Srinivasan said eMudhra has been providing emSigner to one of the largest private sector universities with student strength of over 13,000.

“We have customised the product, made it available in Spanish with specific technologies built as an add-on to the original platform to minimise diploma frauds. We focus largely on digital transformation and cyber security and work at developing solutions around document fraud mitigation. We spotted a market for this kind of solution in education sector, especially in the Latam region,” he said.
