Equitas Small Finance Bank has launched a new ‘Yellow Army Savings Account’ to increase its customer base through its association with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), a franchise of the Indian Premium League (IPL).
The Chennai-based new entrant into the banking sector has joined the list of the companies that use IPL boom and their association with franchises to promote products.
The yellow army savings account will offer an interest rate of six per cent per annum for balance below ₹10 lakh and 6.5 per cent per annum for balance above ₹10 lakh. The average quarterly balance requirement will be ₹10,000 per account.
The Yellow Army Visa debit card comes with personal accident cover of up to ₹5 lakh, air accident cover of ₹30 lakh and lost card liability of up to ₹25,000. Customers can also avail themselves of exclusive offers on movie ticket-booking, food, entertainment and lifestyle and earn reward points for all purchases.
“We are a new bank and looking forward to add more customers . Earlier, we have launched Wing account, targeting affluent segment. ,” said Sanjeev Srivastava, president and country head (branch banking, liabilities, products and wealth management), Equitas Small Finance Bank at the launch of the new savings account, which was unveiled by CSK players Dwayne Bravo and Murali Vijay.
The account holders are entitled to a 15 per cent discount on the purchase of merchandise from the CSK website.
Equitas will be the principal sponsor of CSK and the banking partner of Team CSK for three years.
