The Eastern Railway Vigilance Department in association with RPF and Kolkata Police has busted a fake appointment agency racket. The racket, which was busted on November 14, was involved in selling railway jobs to the public in lieu of money.
According to a release issued by the Railways, the racket was operating in the guise of an academic institute named Aryabhatta Management Academy located at Azadgarh, Regent Park, Tollygunge, Kolkata-700 040.
Acting on tip off, the vigilance department and the police laid a trap and arrested five persons including three lady employees of the fake appointment agency.
Many incriminating documents, fake appointment letters and several computers have been recovered.
