Karnataka stands in the first position in all-India achievement under the solar pump-sets scheme. “To further strengthen the position, it has been resolved that every rural and semi-urban branch in Karnataka would finance at least one solar pump-set during this financial year,” said M I Ganagi, CGM, Nabard.
He was speaking at the state-level workshop on government sponsored schemes with special emphasis on solar pump-sets and a solar lighting scheme conducted by Nabard, Karnataka Regional Office.
The meeting was chaired by M I Ganagi, CGM, Nabard, and attended by MNRE, KREDL, prominent commercial bankers, regional rural banks, the apex bank, KSCARDB, district co-operative banks and MNRE empanelled solar companies operating in the State.
