Maldivian Foreign Minister Mohamed Asim who is in India on a three-day visit will call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today. The visit of Asim, who is also Maldivian president’s special envoy to India, comes amidst reported strain in bilateral ties over a number of issues, including signing of an FTA between the Maldives and China.

The Ahmedabad bench of the NCLT is likely to hear IFCI's insolvency case against the Anil-Ambani-led Reliance Naval and Engineering Ltd. Reliance Naval has refuted the charge saying that there are no merits in the application filed by IFCI before NCLT “as it is an unsecured creditor”.
