The students of the Greater Noida-based IILM College of Engineering and Technology have been selected as one of the four teams that will represent India at the NASA Rover Challenge 2014. The competition will be held at the US Space & Rocket Centre, Huntsville, Texas, on April 10-12, 2014.
The five-member team include final-year B.Tech students: Aastha Singh, Awatansh Srivastava, Anshu Roy, Brijesh Kumar Rai and Lalit Kumar. During the competition, the team will have to fabricate a prototype Moonbuggy and demonstrate its viability to NASA. If their model is found to be successful, the prototype will be launched on the moon in the next NASA mission.
