Joy Mohanty, Head - Creative at Lowe Lintas Delhi, Kolkata Lowe Lintas has announced the appointment of Joy Mohanty as Regional President – North & East. A press release says Mohanty will lead the creative function for the Delhi and Kolkata offices of Lowe Lintas and report to Chief Creative Officer, Arun Iyer.

In a career spanning 23 years, Mohanty has worked with major agencies in India. His previous assignment was as National Creative Director, Publicis Capital, where he spent 11 years. His portfolio includes work on brands such as Maruti Suzuki Corporate, Makemytrip, Maggi, Nescafe Sunrise, Nestle Every Day, Milkmaid, Intex, Subway, Spicejet, Swift, Apollo Tyres, Suzuki Motorcycles and LG Home Appliances.

On the appointment, Arun Iyer said, “Having someone like Joy Mohanty lead and drive the creative function will further consolidate our reputation as being the most creative agency in Delhi, as also to push forward the creative agenda in Kolkata.”

Prior to Publicis Capital, Mohanty was with Contract Advertising as Creative Director. He has also worked at Enterprise Nexus and Leo Burnett. He handled brands like LML Motorcycles, Opel Corsa, Chevrolet Optra, 8PM Whisky, Thums Up, Limca, Maaza, Dabur Chyawanprash, Somany Tiles, Dabur Honey and Escotel Mobile.

Shashank Gawade, Executive Vice-President, Percept Active Percept One has announced the appointment of Shashank Gawade as Executive Vice President, Percept Activ, with effect from September 6.

An experiential marketing specialist, Gawade’s mandate is to create a new benchmark of innovation and creativity in the marcom space that drives tangible value for brands including Percept One clients.

Gawade has 16 years of domain knowledge across sales, marketing, consumer engagement and media strategy. He was most recently associated with BrandVU as Managing Partner and consulted with multiple organisations on scaling up, expansion and going to market. He was also in charge of their analytics vertical’s growth and development of additional product lines. Prior to this he led the experiential marketing practice as National Director, Maxus and GroupM. Some of his notable work at Maxus includes the ‘Ask Me’ launch and Vodafone’s ‘Taking the Experience to the Consumer’.

Gawade aims to maximise the impact of communication by integrating it with sales, marketing, consumer engagement and media strategy. His core strength has been conceptualising strategies that cut costs and increase business output of associated brands. He was previously associated with Surewaves and GroupM as Business Director, and has also worked with Business World.

Aritra Chaudhuri, Senior Creative Director at GREY group GREY group India has appointed Aritra Chaudhuri as the new Senior Creative Director in its Bangalore office.

A press release quoted Sandipan Bhattacharyya, Chief Creative Officer, GREY group India, as saying, “Aritra displays that rare knack for exploring the new and finding ways to create pop culture that makes brands famous.”

Chaudhuri joins with 10 years of extensive experience in various sectors including Strategic Planning, Advertising, Integrated Campaign Design, Trans media Storytelling, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Art Direction and Graphic Design.

Before joining GREY, he worked with Leo Burnett as the Creative Director, where he handled brands such as Olx, Snapdeal, Bacardi and SBI Cards. Enormous, Commonwealth and Mccann Worldgroup, Ogilvy and Mather, JWT, TBWA are the other agencies he worked with. He has been creatively associated with various brands like SBI, Zaffran, Baskin n Robbins, Chevrolet, The Economist, Sony, Taco Bell, Tropicana, Mountain Dew, National Geographic, History Channel, Pedigree, and Adidas to name a few.

Jaydeep Savant, Head - Strategy, Innovation at BC Web Wise Ddigital agency BC Web Wise has appointed Jaydeep Savant as Director – Strategy and Innovation. Savant will lead digital analytics and oversee expansion of the agency’s service portfolio to support key technology trends. He will be based in Mumbai.

On the appointment, Chaaya Baradhwaaj , Founder-MD, BC Web Wise, said, “Jaydeep brings a unique mix of strategic, technical and business experience that will be instrumental as we leverage analytics capabilities for our client portfolio.”

With over 15 years of experience in the technology industry, Savant comes from an extensive background of helping brands with digital strategy and sales. His expertise is in customer analytics, user experience management, customer experience management and usability science. Most recently, Savant was responsible for digital strategy at Times of Money. Previously, he held key positions in the technology and product innovation teams at major companies including TCS, TravelGuru, Harbinger Systems, Linga Interactive, and Satyam Computers.
