MIRC Electronics (Onida) has launched the PreCool range of air-conditioners – an innovation that enables consumers to operate their ACs “no matter where they are in the world”.
They come pre-packaged with a PreCool device that works with a normal SIM card. By sending an SMS to the PreCool device, the device can switch your AC on or off. Prices start at Rs 17,990. The PreCool device worth Rs 2,990 can also be used as a fully loaded multimedia mobile phone, and it comes free with all PreCool ACs.
