PepsiCo finds a unique way to find sustainable solutions to plastic packaging, recycling and attracting young talent, through its unique initiative, Change the Game challenge. According to the challenge, students are supposed to find creative solutions to sustainable packaging and recycling. The top three teams will have an opportunity to win $100,000 grant to fund their idea. About 11,000 students from top Indian B-schools have applied to participate in this programme.
This is PepsiCo’s global initiative which is being practised in six other countries. The three winning teams from India will be eligible to travel to Dubai where they will compete at the finals with top three winners of those countries.
Speaking about the initiative, Suchitra Rajendra - VP Human Resources India region, PepsiCo India, said: “The main objective of the ‘Change the Game’ challenge is to spot the brightest sparks of talent by inviting them to develop sustainable and viable solutions to real issues. This year’s challenge is focused on finding creative solutions to attaining PepsiCo’s Performance with Purpose goals for sustainable packaging and recycling.”
The global winners may get an opportunity the meet and present their idea to Ramon Laguarta, CEO,PepsiCo, and the global leadership team in New York. Additionally, PepsiCo will also grant the winners a fund of $100,000 for bringing the winning idea to life, along with an international job offer.
Along with this, the global winners may get a year-long PepsiCo international experience, a two-month international internship, a local job offer or an opportunity to ‘Shadow a Senior Business Leader’ for a week.
