2 ONGC nominee directors quit MRPL board

Two nominee directors of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation have resigned from the board of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd with immediate effect.

MRPL informed BSE on Tuesday that Mr K.S. Jamestin and Mr A.K. Hazarika, ONGC-nominee directors, have resigned from the board of MRPL consequent upon withdrawal of their nomination as directors by ONGC from the board of MRPL with immediate effect.

The nine-member board of the company has three executive directors in the form of Managing Director, Director (Technical) and Director (Finance), and three independent directors.

There is a non-executive government director and a non-executive director representing HPCL (one of the promoters of the company) on the board. Mr Sudhir Vasudeva is the non-executive chairman.
