India Cements has reported a 32 per cent drop in net profit during the fourth quarter of 2016-17 when compared with the corresponding quarter previously.
The cement company reported a net profit of ₹ 34.28 crore (₹ 50.49 crore) on a total income of ₹ 1,524.29 crore (₹ 1,312.60 crore) for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.
For the full year 2016-17, the company reported a 33 per cent jump in net profit over that of the previous year. The net profit for the year was ₹ 173.35 crore (₹ 129.95 crore) on a total income of ₹ 5,794.03 crore (₹ 4,833.53 crore).
The Board has recommended a dividend of ₹ 1 a share of ₹ 10 for 2016-17. (EOM)
