5 shortlisted for Tata Nano short film contest

Tata Motors has shortlisted the top five contenders for the ‘Nano Short Film Contest’, a five-minute, short film competition for budding film makers.

The five films chosen by a panel of judges are: Jhadav Pahije Ka (by Akash Motiani), Sweetie te Rajjo (by Udit Jawarani), Mr and Mrs Singh (by Akshat Gupt), Wish (by Shivendu Kudalkar), Mumbai’s Risky Rick (by Saurav Sharma), will be posted on YouTube for viewers. Voting will begin today and all viewers can vote for their favourite short films.

The two most popular films, with maximum views on YouTube, will be announced as winners on October 11. The winner will be awarded a movie making-kit worth Rs 75,000 and the runner-up will get a DSLR camera worth Rs 25,000.

The Tata Nano Short Film competition was launched on June 5, 2012, and received 132 entries. Participants presented an interesting five-minute short film concept. Eleven best creative ideas were shortlisted and the teams were given a Tata Nano for executing their ideas. Teams were also provided with additional support from professional studios for editing the films.
