US-headquartered Acco Brands Corporation has launched a range of office automation products in India.
The range includes paper shredders and binding systems under the brand GBC; laminators under the brand Hero; and visual communication products under the brand Quartet.
Scott Buttle, Vice-President and General Manager (Asia Pacific), said the company’s strategy is to continuously optimise its product range, “with best value proposition as all our products are priced at mid-range” in the Indian market.
According to Bhasi P. Menon, Director, Kubs Impex Pvt Ltd (Marketers and Distributors of Acco products in India), its products through various channels including general trade channels and the modern retail. “Since there is not any one company that offers such a big range of products in India and has national presence, Acco has better chance to get to the top slot in the next couple of years,” he said.
The company is present in over 100 countries, and more than 60 per cent of its global revenue comes from outside the US market.
In the first phase, the products will be made available in the South, gradually to other markets where it is appointing distributors.
