Adhunik Metaliks Ltd has sought shareholders’ approval for shifting of its registered office from West Bengal to Odisha. The shareholders have been asked cast their votes through postal ballot by January 10. The company said that the result of the ballot would be announced on January 15.
According to the latest shareholding pattern of the Kolkata-headquartered company, promoters hold 57.80 per cent, FIIs 5.88 per cent, DIIs 5.31 per cent and other investors 31.01 per cent. As the company’s, as well as the group’s, activities were centred in Odisha, the proposed shift would give it an economic advantage, the company said.
The Board of Directors on December 3 had approved the proposal. The proposal is also subject to confirmation by the Regional Director under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
