UK-based HS Butyl Ltd, a specialist in industrial adhesives, has entered the Indian market through a joint venture with Anabond India. The joint venture, Anabond HS Butyl Pvt Ltd, will manufacture butyl tapes, which find application in the automotive, prefab construction, aviation and energy sectors. Anabond Ltd, India’s leading manufacturer of industrial adhesives and sealants, has entered into a joint venture with HS Butyl International, UK, to manufacture butyl tapes. Butyl tapes find application in the automotive, prefab construction, aviation and energy segments. Anabond India was established in 1979 by J. Vijayakumar and manufactures a range of anaerobic adhesives and sealants, RTV silicone sealants and single component epoxies in India. Anabond India achieved a turnover of Rs 200 crore in 2012-13. HS Butyl Ltd is a second generation business that has a five-decade experience in manufacturing butyl tapes. HS Butyl’s annual turnover stands at Rs 100 crore. Anabond HS Butyl Pvt Ltd will be headquartered in Chennai, according to a press release.
