Aurobindo gets US regulator nod for blood thinner drug

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to manufacture and market Clopidogrel tablets in the US market. The tablet is the generic equivalent of Aventis US LLC's Plavix, a blood thinner drug. The product was approved out of unit III formulations facility here, Aurobindo said in a release issued on Friday.
