Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd posted a 14 per cent growth in net profit to nearly Rs 32 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2012, against Rs 28 crore in the corresponding period last year.
According to a release, the Kolkata-headquartered PSU witnessed a 16 per cent rise in net income during the quarter to nearly Rs 646 crore, compared with Rs 558 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s stock closed at Rs 622.70, 0.61 per cent down, on the BSE on Friday.
