Diversified and State-owned Balmer Lawrie & Co on Thursday reported a 41 per cent jump in net profit of Rs 44.91 crore in the first quarter to June 30, against Rs 31.82 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The profit before tax moved up 35 per cent.
The logistics infrastructure & services division contributed a PBIT of Rs 29.98 crore (Rs 19.26 crore), followed by Rs 15.45 crore (Rs 11.88 crore) from the industrial packaging division. The total income of the Kolkata-headquartered company was up 17 per cent at Rs 607 crore.
