Defence public sector Bharat Electronics has acquired orders worth Rs 926 crore during the third quarter (Q3) of 2013-14.
SK Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, said the order book position as on January 1, 2014, stood at Rs 24,502 crore. Export order book was to the tune of $95.83 million and export turnover stood at $5.71 million.
The company’s profits dropped 2.96 per cent to Rs 191.74 crore in Q3 of 2013-14 compared with Rs 197.59 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Income from operations also was lower by 18 per cent, at Rs 1,201.42 crore compared with last year’s Rs 1,465.22 crore. EPS stood at ₹23.97 (last year Rs 24.70).
The board of directors declared interim dividend of Rs 6 a share for the year 2013-14.
