Bosch Electrical Drives India, a joint venture with Igarashi Motors India, will set up a plant in Chennai to manufacture wiper systems, engine cooling fan modules, HVAC blowers and window lift drives products.
The plant will be built on an area 9,000 sq. m with an investment of Rs 37 crore. This facility will cater to the growing needs of the domestic market and lead to increased localisation, a press statement from the company said. Bosch Electrical Drives India at present employs 200 persons.
