Brand USA, a tourism marketing entity, is promoting US as a destination in India this week. A 50-member delegation representing 35 destinations such as California, Orlando (Florida) is here to promote destinations such as Universal Studios and Disneyland. “India has emerged as a very important market for us in terms of the growing volumes as well as high holiday spends. We expect 1.3 million tourists from India to visit US by 2016,” said John Gray, Vice-President, partnership development, Brand USA. He said they plan to run promotional campaigns on television, radio, social networking sights as well as educate tour operators and travel agents.
