Britannia Industries Ltd posted profits of Rs 100.56 crore for the third quarter of 2013-14, up 62.11 per cent on the Rs 62.03-crore recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Income from operations was also higher by 10.65 per cent at Rs 1,793.01 crore as compared with last year’s Rs 1,620.39 crore. EPS stood at Rs 8.39 (last year Rs 5.19).
“We leveraged our strong brands and focused on the fundamental levers of operation to deliver consolidated double-digit revenue growth with a 250 bps increase in operating margin,” said Nusli N. Wadia, Chairman, Britannia Industries, in a release.
