Caparo Energy Ltd has unveiled a new brand identity by re-christening itself as Mytrah Energy Ltd. The name ‘Mytrah' means the Sun in Sanskrit, while the logo symbolises the Sun's rays.
Mytrah Energy (previously known as Caparo Energy) has plans for large utility scale wind farms across the country and aims to install 5,000 MW capacity in India by 2017.
Mr Ravi Kailas, Chairman and CEO, Mytrah Energy, in a statement said, “While our core values remain the same, this is an important milestone in our Group's history as it reiterates our identity and commitment to create a sustainable future for our country.”
Mytrah Energy (India) Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mytrah Energy Ltd listed on AIM of the London Stock Exchange. MEIL has entered into a business partnership agreement with Suzlon Energy and Gamesa India for new projects.
The company is targeting to add 1,000 MW of generation capacity by March 2013, of which 500 MW are under various stages of construction for commissioning by March 2012. It now has 67.2 MW of operating assets.
