Carborundum Universal's net profit has jumped over 2.5 times in the fourth quarter of 2010-11 as compared with that of the same period in the previous year.
The Murugappa Group company has reported a net profit Rs 38.02 crore (Rs 14.53 crore) on income from operations of Rs 267.53 crore (Rs 215.09 crore) for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
During the year ended March 31, 2011, the company reported a net profit of Rs 124.25 crore (Rs 58.01 crore) on an income of Rs 984.64 crore (Rs 783.12 crore).
According to information provided to the NSE, the board has recommended a final dividend of Re 1 for every equity share of Rs 2. In February, the directors recommended an interim dividend of Rs 1.50.
