Carlson group opens Radisson resort in Goa

Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company, last week announced the continued expansion of its India portfolio with the opening of a 132-room Radisson Blu Resort Goa Cavelossim Beach property.

The resort, a retreat on south coastal Goa's Cavelossim beach, is the seventh, world-class Carlson resort property in the Asia Pacific.

Mr. Albuquerque told Business Line that the group has invested nearly Rs 100 crore in the property. With annual turnover of Rs.100 crore, Goa's Alcon Victor Group is in real estate and hospitality business with three beach resorts each in coastal belt of south Goa and north Goa, each apart from its tie-up with Apollo which runs a medical-tourism hospital in Margao in south Goa.

Incidentally, the group is all set to invest in near future in yet another major hospital project in Panaji in north Goa, said Mr. Albuquerque.

Facilities

The resort's design is inspired by Goan-Portuguese architecture and features 132 chic, modern and spacious suites, and guestrooms ranging from 650 to 350 square feet.

Guests seeking to revitalise the mind and body can choose from the Aura spa, offering Western and Ayurvedic treatments such as meditation and yoga, or work out at the fitness centre or enjoy a dip in the free-form swimming.

Dining options

A wide range of dining options is available at the resort to cater to diverse guest demands.

Upper Deck coffee shop serves Indian and Western cuisine with live performances by international bands, while guests at Lucio can delight in unique Goan-Portuguese cuisine and savour Asian cuisine at Shandong restaurant.

Those wishing to relax in the comfort of an exclusive lounge bar setting will be catered for at 'Sagres'.

The resort boasts of 4,000 square metres of dedicated meeting and event space that is supported by a business centre with a suite of administrative services at its guests' disposal, catering to social functions such as weddings, business meetings and conferences.
