With its foray into sanitary ware and high-end wellness products such as shower enclosures, shower panels, whirlpools, steam cabins and spa among others, Jaquar Ltd aims to achieve 50 per cent growth in revenues to Rs 1,500 crore this fiscal.
Turnover
The company's turnover in 2010-11 was Rs 1,000 crore, according to its Managing Director, Mr Rajesh Mehra.
While the company has three brands — Essco (entry level), Jaquar (mid-market segment) and Artize (high-end brand) — Jaquar accounts for almost 80 per cent of the total sales.
“We have been growing at a compounded annual growth rate of approximately 40 per cent over the last ten years. Now with our foray into the high-end wellness segment and sanitaryware we hope to grow by 50 per cent this year,” Mr Mehra said at a press meet to announce the launch of Jaquar's standalone showroom in the city on Wednesday.
The growth would also be driven by the growing economy and changing lifestyle of Indians, he pointed out. The total market for faucets and sanitaryware in the country currently stands at about Rs 4,000 crore and the share of organised market is about 60 per cent, he said.
“We have a 60 per cent share in the organised market,” he said.
