The Danish manufacturer of refrigeration and air conditioning components Danfoss Industries will start moving into its new 50-acre facility from June 2015 onwards. A 50,000-sq-m factory and an R&D centre are coming up at Oragadam, an industrial suburb to the west of Chennai. The components it makes cater to the industrial cold chain and building air conditioning markets spanning minus 30 degrees centigrade to plus 20 degrees, according to P Ravichandran, President. The company is also setting up a 1 MW solar power plant at Oragadam.
