Eicher Motors Limited on Wednesday reported consolidated net profit of ₹186.05 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 28 per cent up from ₹145.62 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s total income from operations also rose by 31 per cent during the quarter year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2,275 crore as compared with ₹1,736 crore in the corresponding period in 2013, it said in a statement.
While the company sold a total of 8,307 units of trucks and buses in the domestic market during the quarter (versus 8,033 units), it sold 81,977 units of Enfield motorcycles in the third quarter (versus 48,242 units). The company’s shares closed at ₹13,158.70 on the BSE on Wednesday, up 1.28 per cent from the previous close.
