Personal care major Emami has reported a 12.8 per cent consolidated turnover growth at Rs 407 crore in Q2 of FY14, on the back of rural growth, focus on cost management and lower input costs.
PAT at Rs 80 crore grew 35.1 per cent over the corresponding quarter in the previous year. For the first half, turnover at Rs 790 crore grew 13 per cent while PAT was at Rs 141 crore, up 32.9 per cent.
Its international business, mainly in GCC and SAARC regions, posted 27 per cent top-line growth.
The maker of Boroplus and Fair and Handsome skincare brands was also able to increase its market share in most of the categories it is present.
