Emami Ltd aims to grow its personal care and healthcare business in overseas markets by setting up manufacturing units in Bangladesh and Egypt.
The manufacturing unit in Bangladesh would commence commercial operations by the end of this fiscal, N.H. Bhansali, CEO, Finance, Strategy and Business Development, told Business Line .
The Egypt unit is also likely to be ready for operations by the end of this fiscal, he said.
Emami posted 16 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 59 crore for the quarter ended September 30 compared with Rs 51 crore during same period last year.
Net sales grew by 18 per cent to Rs 361 crore.
