Ford India will open five dealerships in small cities to mark the success of the Ford Figo, its small car, which has sold over 300,000 units, according to a press release from the company.
During August, the car manufacturer will open dealerships in Solan, on August 8, followed by outlets in Sri Ganganagar, Gaya, Anand and Sikar.
Outlets are also planned in Faridabad and Kochi.
The Figo is being exported to over 37 international markets positioning it as one of the best-selling vehicles in India and across the world.
“The Figo continues to be a game-changer for Ford in India,” said Joginder Singh, President and Managing Director, Ford India, in the press release.
Ford India will expand its dealer network to 265 sales and service outlets in 142 cities with the launch of the new outlets. It plans to expand to 500 outlets by the middle of the current decade, the release said.
