Fortis Healthcare has added its eighth facility in Delhi-NCR, with a strategic tie-up with Aashlok Hospital. It announced this partnership on Thursday. This 30-bed unit would be one of the smaller facilities of Fortis, which typically has larger, about 200-bed, hospitals in its portfolio. This new hospital would work under the hub-and-spoke model. “The model is working reasonably well in cities such as Bangalore and Mumbai, and is fairly common in larger cities. In NCR, we mostly have larger facilities,” Aditya Vij, CEO, Fortis Healthcare, said. “Wherever we see an opportunity to have a smaller facility to cater to a catchment area, we are looking at the option,” Vij added.
